Anselmo Mendes started producing Alvarinho on an area of 2.5 hectares in Monção and Melgaço in 1998.
Today he leads various projects in Beira, Douro and even in the Azores. However, his main focus remains on the production of Vinho Verde, which is made from the grapes Alvarinho and Loureiro. Today Anselmo owns 50 hectares and farms another 70. Anselmo Mendes stands for first-class quality.
