- Winemakers:Pedro Baptista
- Pairing:Veal, Poultry, Mushrooms
- Capacity:75cl
- Theme:Pêra-Manca is the label the Eugénio de Almeida Foundation reserves for its most exceptional wines. The whites are a blend of Antão Vaz and Arinto grape varieties, showing a citrus colour and a fruity, persistent, delicate and complex aroma.
- Soil:Granitic
- Vinification:Fermention takes place in stainless steel tanks and in french oak barrels, at a controlled temperature of 16°C.
- Ageing:The wine matures on the lees for further 12 months with battonage and another 6 months in bottle, prior to release.
- Tasting notes:Strong clear golden yellow. The bouquet has plenty of volume but looks quite elegant due to the pronounced pear scent and the integrated wood. The compact body is characterized by clear acidity, the long finish ends conciliatory with a spicy bitter orange note and a little pepper.
