A temper region, located above the Atlantic Ocean, providing fresh and salty wines, with a light structure and high acidity. Vines planted in clay-limestone soil, sustained on free vines and winemaking.
  • Vinification:Grapes are meticulously selected, destemmed, and gently pressed. Cultivated using environmentally friendly agriculture and the harvest is carried out manually when the grapes reach optimum ripeness.
Ageing:Fermented in stainless steel tanks. Finally, the wine aged 10 months in an old barrel of chestnut and mahogany.
  • Tasting notes:The Pirata da Viúva illustrates the new discoveries on the Atlantic coast of Sintra. An irreverent wine from selected plots of clay-limestone, sustained on free vines and winemaking. This is a single varietal of Malvasia de Colares, aged 10 months in an old barrel of chestnut and mahogany. Elegant and sharp.

Adega Viuva Gomes

Adega Viúva Gomes, established in 1808, is located in Almoçageme, Colares, on a demarcated wine-growing region defined in 1908, characterized by its dunes and sandy soils sited on the coastline of Sintra, between the hills and the Atlantic Ocean, from Cabo da Roca until Magoito.
