- Vineyard:1997 was the first Vintage. An old vineyard of Quinta da Gaivosa seen from a different angle. A new wine was born! Preserving its origins but with a self-personality. The exclusivity of the first vintage is very clear in the numbers – only 197 cases… of 1 bottle. Released only in vintages of exceptional quality, in very limited quantities, and with a minimum of 7 years of aging, recovering the true philosophy of the old “reservas” and “garrafeiras”. Wines to keep, released with proper aging and maturity, demonstrating the virtues of time on great wines. It’s one of the finest expressions of Gaivosa’s terroir.
